Dunajec rafting - FAQ for foreign visitors
Dunajec rafting at RiverFun starts at 85 PLN (~20 EUR) per adult on the 18 km route. Prices depend on route and transport option: 18 km = 85-95 PLN, 21 km = 95-105 PLN, 27.5 km = 105-115 PLN, 33 km = 115-125 PLN. Kids 0-5 free, ages 6-10 discount 20 PLN, ages 11-15 discount 10 PLN. All gear, life vests, training and parking included.
Meeting point is our base at ul. Sobieskiego in Krościenko nad Dunajcem, Pieniny. From there we transport you by bus to the starting point in Sromowce Niżne or Sromowce Wyżne (depending on route). You end the rafting in Krościenko, Szczawnica or Tylmanowa.
No experience needed. Dunajec is a calm river without rapids or waterfalls - it is a scenic float, not whitewater rafting. Every participant gets a certified life vest and short training before departure. Kids aged 3+ can participate.
Depending on the route: 18 km = 3.5 h, 21 km = 4 h, 27.5 km = 5.5 h, 33 km = 6.5 h of pure paddling. Add ~30-60 min for meeting, training and transport.
From Kraków: 2 hours by car (120 km via DK47). From Zakopane: 1.5 hours (70 km). From Szczawnica: 10 minutes (7 km). Free parking at our base if you choose the "with transport" option.
Rafts (pontoons 4, 6 or 8-person) are stable and recommended for families with kids, seniors and beginners. Kayaks (1 or 2-person) are for couples, teenagers and active paddlers. Same price - choose based on comfort preference.
Wear comfortable clothes that can get wet, change of clothes, waterproof bag for phone/documents, sunscreen, hat. Dunajec water is cold (~14°C / 57°F even in July) - bring a rain jacket. We provide all rafting gear: kayak/raft, paddle, life vest.
